Imagine living in an area where you have to drive for more than 28 km before arriving at your favourite weekend spot (for movies, shopping and hangouts).
Or driving through a familiar route that made you feel like you were the only one on the road for about 8 km before meeting other motorists.
Now imagine getting used to this lifestyle for years, only to wake one day and find out that your favourite spot is just a stone-thrown away from home (you won’t have to drive that far again).
But on the flip side, you’ll face traffic daily to get to your workplace because there are more motorists on the road than the previous years.
That was the feeling one had residing in upcoming neighbourhoods that were very far from urban life on the Island (Lagos) such as; Crown Estate, Mayfair Gardens, Farapark and so on.
If you lived in Crown Estate ten years ago, then you’ll understand this whole illustration to well.
Because unlike today where we have a Genesis or Sky Cinemas in Sangotedo, most residents had to drive several kilometres to watch their favourite movies at Cinemas (either at The Palms, Lekki or Silverbird Cinemas, Victoria Island) back then.

There were times when driving from Lekki to a place like Mayfair Gardens, Awoyaya felt like you were on a journey to another state (because there were more virgin lands, old houses and stores, than modern developments).
But the story today is different as development has caught up with these neighbourhoods, and only a few people remember how these places were before today.
Demand for affordable accommodation from those who work and own businesses on the Island has led to these areas developing faster than what most people expected.
The truth is that no one knew what to expect when these places were undeveloped, not the early-bird landowners or local owners, but they were hopeful.
That hope worked for them and is working for those making similar moves today.
Though the Sangotedo axis is still an emerging market, there’s a lot more to expect ahead.
The positive effect of this fast growth in Sangotedo is already rubbing off on neighbouring communities in their infancy stage, such as Ibeju Lekki & Epe (since they also play host to the Free Trade Zone).
So if you’re thinking about investing in this neighbourhood, then make a move today but remember to do thorough due diligence before committing those funds.

Thanks very interesting blog!
It’s actually very difficult in this busy life
to listen news on Television, therefore I just use internet for that
reason, and obtain the newest information.
Whats up this is somewhat of off topic but I was wanting to know if blogs use WYSIWYG editors or if you have to manually code with HTML.
I’m starting a blog soon but have no coding know-how so I wanted to get guidance from someone with
experience. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
